The Castle of Mey is well known because it was the Scotish home of the Queen Mother.
It is located in Caithness on the north coast of Scotland about 6 miles west of John o'Groats.
We visited on a damp overcast day in May and toured the grounds, the castle, the gardens, and the animal center.
There is ample parking here next to the Visitor's Cener and there is a fee to enter the grounds.
